Victoria, BC/Washington, DC - Today, the National Abortion Federation (NAF) condemned the Canadian Centre for Bio-Ethical Reform's national anti-abortion campaign.
"This is another example of an anti-abortion organization using graphic and misleading images in the hope of advancing their beliefs," said Vicki Saporta, President and CEO of NAF. "These tactics often backfire and even those who oppose abortion often object to these images."
"Women deserve accurate information when making decisions about an unintended pregnancy," said Saporta. "NAF provides unbiased, factual information about abortion care through our Hotline (1-800-772-9100) and website (www.prochoice.org )."
In Canada, access to abortion is guaranteed by the Canada Health Act and is a safe, legal, and insured service.
