The National Abortion Federation (NAF) is the professional association of abortion providers in North America. NAF is a 501 (c)(3) organization dedicated to ensuring that abortion is safe, legal, and accessible. Our dynamic and innovative programs span a wide range of services designed to meet the unique needs of abortion providers and patients. Our members include the physicians, advance practice clinicians, nurses, counselors, administrators and other health care professionals at 400 clinics, hospitals and physicians' offices in the United States, Canada and Mexico City.
The primary responsibility of the Clinical Services Director is to provide oversight to the Clinical Services Department. These functions include: managing and maintaining the systems that support the Quality Assessment and Improvement (QAI) program, overseeing internal quality assurance activities, and working collaboratively with other departments within NAF to further the mission of the organization. The Director will report to the Vice President and General Counsel.
Duties:
- Responsible for ensuring that a minimum number of quality site visits are conducted annually.
- Personally conduct quality site inspections of member facilities annually.
- Conduct site visits;
- Member facilities are located throughout North America.
- Ensure consistency in site visit assessment and follow-up, and provide clear structure of training and evaluation.
- Provide technical assistance for members.
- Supervise Associate Director of Clinical Services, Executive Assistant and Hotline Clinical Data Coordinator.
- Work closely with Chair of Board QAI Committee to further the work of the QAI program.
- Work with Board QAI and Clinical Policy Committees to ensure timely review of current literature to update NAF's Clinical Policy Guidelines annually and issue Clinical Policy Bulletins as necessary.
- Provide support as needed to all departments of NAF for any clinical issues and related abortion care concerns impacting membership.
- Manage and maintain site visit database in coordination with Membership and Finance departments.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Strong commitment to a woman's right to choose abortion.
- Must be able to travel extensively (50%)./li>
- Clinician (RN, NP, CNM, PA).
- Direct experience working in an abortion facility.
- Knowledge of health care quality practices.
- Excellent organizational, written and verbal communications skills.

The National Abortion Federation is the professional association of abortion providersin North America. The primary responsibilities of the Quality Management Clinician include conducting site visits for NAF Members and participating in a range of Clinical Services Department activities to further the mission of the organization. The QM Clinician reports to the Director of Clinical Services.
Duties
- Conducts approximately 40 annual quality site inspections of member facilities (located throughout North America) and prepares formal reports;
- Maintains consistency in site visit assessment and follow-up, providing members with clear evaluation and technical assistance;
- Helps maintain the members' quality indicator database;
- Provides ongoing technical assistance for members;
- Assists in the preparation of NAF Clinical Bulletins and other documents relevant to clinical care;
- Provides support as needed to other NAF departments and NAF Hotline Fund, as well as input to the Board of Directors for quality management, clinical issues and related concerns impacting members;
- Assists as needed with clinical and quality management-related educational offerings at NAF and coalition partner meetings and seminars;
- Functions as a team member with the other clinicians in the Department;
- Maintains familiarity with the clinical literature and evidence-based practices, with the goal of promoting the highest level of patient-centered care.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated commitment to the right to choose abortion care and to ensuring access to high quality abortion care;
- Ability to work independently and travel extensively (50%);
- Licensed as a clinician (RN, NP, CNM, PA);
- Experienced in the direct provision of abortion care;
- Ability to effectively promote health care quality principles and practices;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Working with NAF's security experts by providing legal research and analysis regarding violence and harassment of our members;
- Collaborating with NAF staff to identify trends affecting NAF members at both the state and federal levels and developing legislative initiatives and strategic responses to address members' needs;
- Educating and engaging NAF members around legislative and legal issues relating to reproductive health care;
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with other pro-choice organizations and coalitions;
- Assisting the General Counsel in research and work relating to federal policies and NAF operations, programs and services.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated commitment to reproductive choice;
- 1 - 2 years legal experience;
- Law degree required;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills;
- Outstanding analytical ability;
- Strong organizational skills;

The NAF Hotline Fund is a 501 (c)(3) organization dedicated to providing accurate, unbiased reproductive health care information to women from diverse backgrounds and to providing callers with confidential consultation and referrals to providers of quality abortion care. The Hotline Fund also provides case management services to women with special needs and limited financial assistance to subsidize care for low-income women. The Hotline provides services in English, Spanish, and French.
Responsibilities:
The Hotline Data Entry Assistant will have primary responsibility for sorting, entering, scanning, and filing data associated with the Hotline Fund's operations. The Hotline Data Entry Assistant will also aide the Clinical Data Manager in tracking and filing of clinic data and perform other duties as assigned, primarily to assist both the Data Processing Coordinator and the Clinical Data Manager.
Qualifications:
Candidates should be able to pay close attention to detail and be able to enter data quickly, efficiently, and accurately. Experience with Microsoft Access strongly preferred. Familiarity with other databases and OCR (Optical Character Recognition) preferred but not required. Candidates should also have a demonstrated commitment to a woman's right to choose abortion and understanding of women's complex social and financial situations. Candidates should have a bachelor's degree and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Hotline Operators provide callers with unbiased, factual information about pregnancy and abortion and referrals to providers of quality care. Hotline Operators ensure accurate assessment of eligibility for funding assistance and accurate and complete documentation for eligible women. Other duties include data entry assistance and other administrative tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
Candidates should have a demonstrated commitment to a woman's right to choose abortion and understanding of women's complex social and financial situations. Candidates should also have excellent written and oral communications skills and be able to work cooperatively with women and their families, abortion providers, and staff. Candidates should have a bachelor's degree; and be able to work in a fast-paced environment. Candidates should have strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and experience with databases. Proficiency in Spanish or French required. Bachelor's degrees in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology or entry level experience in counseling preferred.

NAF's Clinic Defense and Research Department works with member clinics to improve security and assist clinic staff in dealing with threats and violence. The department also works with law enforcement officials to improve relationships between law enforcement and clinics, deter violence against abortion providers and pursue and prosecute those responsible for committing acts of violence. In addition, the department produces a monthly newsletter on incidents of violence against clinics and maintains a database of incidents of violence and disruption.
Duties Include:
- Gathering and organizing information on anti-abortion extremists
- Entering and compiling statistics on violence and disruption against abortion providers
- Maintaining database of law enforcement contacts
- Assisting in a wide range of projects as needed
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated pro-choice commitment
- Two or more years of undergraduate work with 3.0 GPA or above

- Works closely with members of the press, responds to press inquiries, and pitches story ideas
- Develops public education and research materials
- Tracks press coverage of abortion-related issues
- Manages NAF's website, blog, and online projects
- Works closely with NAF patients who have chosen abortion and are willing to share their stories with the media, legislators, and the public
- Conducts consumer outreach projects

- Assists with all aspects of media relations, including development of press materials, press outreach, and press conferences
- Develops public education and research materials
- Supports marketing and outreach projects
